I first met Clare as an instructor at a pony camp. I went on to attend various group clinics and progressive training days. She was always encouraging, positive and fun. I would always come away with a little gems of information. Then I started to notice the little comments that revealed the depth and breadth of Clare's experience and knowledge. I chose Clare to help me bring my horse back into work after long periods of time off due to injury. Because of this, she was on the forehand, asymmetrical and opinionated. I have been working with Clare one to one for about 6 months now. We started at the very beginning. That is to say, correcting (Clare likes the word tweaking) my position and aids to best help my horse. Progression has been steady. Exercises have come organically. Manoeuvres, or aids, that were difficult have become natural. Not through endless repetition, but through changing up the the exercises which take the focus away from the difficulty. There are never any dramas or battles. If something isn't working, Clare easily finds a solution. This is the happiest, calmest, most willing - and for competitors out there, the most correct my horse has ever been. Did I mention that I highly recommend Clare?!
