Based in South West Cornwall, Clare is a qualified BHS II Accredited Professional Coach with current First Aid, Safeguarding, DBS and CPD Certifications. Supporting all abilities from beginners to competitors and specialising in all disciplines from lead rein and flatwork, to ground pole, show jumping and cross country.

Her unique talent of assessing and tailoring her coaching to meet the needs of  horse and rider attracts both her current client base and those new. Clare focuses on rider and horse confidence ensuring the basics/foundations are understood to progress. The scales of training are always at the forefront of her coaching, together with the care, health and welfare of horse/rider at all times.

Clare is passionate about Rider/Horse Biomechanics and their compatibility to move forward with fluidity using the correct aids. Her understanding of the rider fitness/balance is a huge factor. Clare will provide exercises with or without a gym ball to improve mobility and flexibility for the rider's core strength and balance.

Since returning to freelance coaching in Cornwall and Devon, Clare has helped her riders by giving them the tools (verbally) to build their confidence and partnership with their horses to participate in a huge variety of activities, from competitions of all levels to fun rides. Whilst giving rides the skills and confidence to return to competing that perhaps they did not think was possible.

Clare's background in the equine world started at a very young age from representing her Pony Club in area Show jumping and Eventing to showing ponies, hunters, ladies hunters, working hunters at county level and dressage for owners. Competing at the Royal International, Ascot and many other renowned venues. Show jumping across the UK for her mother was a great honour in her younger years and gave her the opportunity to gain experience throughout the country.
