Having gained her qualifications at college, she was asked to run the college yard in her role as Yard Manager. From this opportunity she then went on to seek employment in the eventing world. Working as Head Girl for a 5 star event rider in Oxfordshire allowed her to gain a huge amount of experience in training and competing.

Clare returned to Cornwall to the family farm undertaking schooling, competing, backing and a breeding programme. With four stallions and many quality mares in location, fabulous hunters, show hunters, show jumpers and jumping ponies were bred.

During Clare's time on the farm she became a mother to four lovely children who rode, and it was when she was a busy mother that she was approached to instruct at the college. This led to lecturing, course management and finally to becoming the Equine Centre Manager. Whilst she was in this role, she had the opportunity to sit on many fabulous horses ranging from GP dressage , international show jumpers to European event horses and having access to incredible training from the advanced riders and trainers themselves, embracing this wealth of knowledge to share with others.

Having gained such extensive knowledge, Clare is now working from home as a freelance coach covering Cornwall and South Devon. Running clinics and coaching at private yards, whilst finding time to bring her own horse back into work to keep up her own rider fitness.
